About

Youth Race Control — Development A five-module motocross development programme for young racers aged 9–10. Racing motocross involves much more than riding a motorcycle quickly. Young riders must learn to manage their emotions, maintain their focus, make decisions under pressure and respond when things don’t go to plan. Youth Race Control — Development introduces riders to these important parts of racing through age-appropriate lessons, audio explanations, illustrations and interactive questions. Across five modules, riders will explore: * Understanding Emotions — Recognising feelings and learning how they influence actions. * Building Race-Day Routines — Developing preparation and habits that support more consistent performance. * Making Decisions Under Pressure — Learning where to direct attention and how to make useful choices. * Responding During a Race — Managing mistakes, distractions and unexpected situations. * Becoming Your Own Race Controller — Taking greater responsibility for preparation, decisions and performance. The aim isn’t to remove nerves, eliminate mistakes or promise better race results. It’s to help young riders understand themselves, develop practical skills and become more capable of managing the challenges of motocross racing. About the Pilot Programme This is a small-group founding pilot, limited to five riders per age group. The programme consists of five modules, with new material becoming available every seven days. Riders can work through the lessons at their own pace, revisit previously released material and record what they learn in their own Race Control Playbook. As part of the pilot, parent feedback and rider responses will help shape the development of future lessons, ensuring the programme is engaging, appropriately challenging and relevant to young racers. Develop the rider. Strengthen the racer.
